The York Sunbury Historical Society hosts a lecture on the third Thursday of each month, for most months. All evening programs will take place at Old Government House (51 Woodstock Road). We can park on site and come in the side entrance. Open to the public!
The presentation on Thursday, Sept. 16th (7:30pm) will be a pictorial display of the historic structures of Devon with a brief discussion of the people who lived and worked in these buildings. The visual presentation begins with the earliest building, Fort Nashwaak, and follows up river to include all of the major buildings constructed before 1945. The information is based on the three books entitled Devon Remembered written by Carol Randall and Bob McNeil.
